Juan received his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley in 2003. He has been a valuable member of the LDA design group team ever since. Juan is a licensed Architect in the state of California and is currently working to obtain his NCARB certification. He has provided design and project management services for a diverse portfolio of nationwide and international in line retailers such as H&M, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Gap, Brighton, and Bebe. Juan has also provided design, management, and construction services on many larger scale projects for Guitar Center, ACCO, Sports Chalet, Macy’s, and Gottschalks.

Juan is a LEED Accredited Professional and was instrumental in the development and completion of the LEED retail pilot program for LDA’s retail client. The pilot program paved the way for the implementation of LEED guidelines to retail spaces. Juan successfully managed LEED Gold store in Gig Harbor, WA as well as LEED Silver stores in Roseville, CA and San Antonio, TX. Through his efforts, LDA was able to design a total of three Gold stores, four Silver stores, and four certified LEED stores. Juan was the lead for The Disney Stores account for nearly a decade. He oversaw the implementation of Disney’s Imagination Park retail concept, Disney Store Outlet program, and managed flagship stores in San Francisco, and at the Americana at Brand in Glendale, CA.

In his new role as an Associate, Juan will be playing a more prominent role in shaping the planning, architectural and technological direction of the firm. We are proud to offer his commitment, determination, and diligence as an added value to our clients. Juan will further strengthen LDA’s reputation for providing high-quality services.

Juan has been spearheading the effort to integrate 3D modeling software and Building Information Modeling as an integral part of our Architectural Services.
